This is a free service to monitor hits by search engines. I've got this blog hosted currently so it won't be monitored but if you want to track them take a look at my site.
I wrote it because I was reading stacks of SEO (Search engine optimization) stuff and getting all wound up because I had no idea if my sites were being indexed and trawling through the raw logs was just too hard.

Update: botspotter has been discontinued. There are only so many times you can crash hosted webservers before you get thrown off!

What can I say - it's where I work - it is my life's work!
Personally I don't like the design but we're a wee way off getting that sorted.

Hey, first post of this little experiment. The big test will be to see if good old Google comes buy to index it. You'd think it would, given that this site is promoted on it's excellent toolbar.
